Chains of the Unbroken
Keep me company—confidant, friend, and foe,
Whispering poison cloaked in truths I’ll never know.
Force-fed a doctrine I refuse to see,
You crave my surrender, my silent plea.
On bended knee, you'd have me crawl,
A rebel subdued, a shadow to your thrall.
But I rise, defiant, untamed, and free,
Unshackled by the lies of false liberty.
Your chains are words; your gospel, control,
Yet my spirit’s unbound, unyielding, whole.
For every breath you steal, I’ll claim two more,
A storm that won’t falter, a tide on the shore.
