My Darkness Revealed

Memento Mori II

Memento Mori. Vivamus, moriendum est.

Each day, it whispers,
finds its way,
In shadows cast or light of day—
A fleeting thought, a solemn plea,
A quiet nod to mortality.

Memento Mori. Vivamus, moriendum est.

It bids you seek the beauty there,
In sorrow’s depths, in burdens shared,
For what if dawn should fail to rise,
And leave the world in darkened skies?

Vivamus, moriendum est.

Perhaps a bird’s song, soft, forlorn,
Upon a frozen winter’s morn,
Or breath that hangs, in crystal light,
Suspended, fading into night.
The mayfly’s dance, a fragile fight,
One day to love, then gone from sight.
Its fleeting flight, a poignant story,
A living echo:

Memento Mori.
Vivamus, moriendum est.

A daydream breaks, the truth takes hold,
A chill reminder, stark and cold:
All dreams must yield, all eyes must close,
To realms unseen, where silence grows.

Memento Mori. Vivamus, moriendum est.
